4.0 out of 5 stars I like it so far, April 29, 2011
This review is from: RSQ HD-787 320GB Hard Drive Karaoke Player (Electronics)
Finding any reviews on the RSQ HD-787 is nearly impossible, so I decided to post this:

There is more than one way to input music into this player. First you can just play CDG discs like any regular player.

OR You can store CDG discs into the hard drive (but you'll have to input the title and artist manually with the keypad remote).

OR you can create and burn a NEO disc on your computer from MP3-Gs (which is easier to input title and artists on computer keyboard than on remote) using the utility on the website. (A NEO disc holds approx 1000 songs.) Then load the NEO disc into this machine and it will have all the artists and titles on it. You can play it like that, or you can store it into the karaoke hard drive.

OR you can buy either a SATA to USB Dock, or SATA to USB Converter, and use the RSQ Util that is on a CD that comes with the karaoke machine to input song files from your computer directly into the karaoke hard drive. And you can... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Have to remove hard drive to load multiple songs?, December 16, 2010
This unit is advertised based on it being able to handle up to 40,000 songs (mine is the 1 terabyte verson) but what they don't tell you is that you have to remove the hard disk drive put it in a docking station(you will have to buy this as well) and use a special utility program.
You also must create a specially formatted text file in order transfer your songs to the hard disk drive of the HD 787. In addition to this they advertise Dual Monitors for the "professional" user. The second screen completely duplicates the first and you can not enter another singer in without shutting off the first. This unit is useless for Karaoke other than one person being the only singer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Machine But!, October 12, 2010
This unit does everything it says it does. Having my collection in
one place on a hard drive is terrific. The couple of things
to be aware of are as follows:

1. If the unit does not come with the available keypad remote you
should get it. It makes all the difference when adding your collection
to the HD.

2. Be prepared to spend some time copying your CDG's. It takes, on average,
15 Min. per disc. That does not include the time spent adding song titles
and artists. It took about 35 hours to copy my collection of 120 Discs.

3. Apparently, and there is software included, to connect to a PC. However
an adapter is required at additional cost and the documentation for using it is pretty
poor.

Once I Got it Going It sure beats hand feeding my discs
